Coffeeshop DNA is located on Achillesstraat in the Zuid (South) of Amsterdam and is a largely residential area. This coffeeshop you may remember was once known as 'Jabba' but it wasn't well known to many tourists. Due to the location largely caters for the locals in this area.

As you enter the coffeeshop there it is a quite large open space with the service area on the right which a long slim bench for rolling on. Smoking is not allowed in this area though. The menus are provided on 2 screens on the counter and a nice choice of edibles are also available. A small smoking room is provided with a few tables if you wish to stay and have a smoke.

Drinks and snacks are provided in machines to the left of the service area where there is also a glass unit with cannabis related products available for purchase.

Some people believe that DNA is owned by the same guys as Boerejongens/Bij but this is not the case. They do however have a connection with Amsterdam Genetics who also have a connection with numerous coffeeshops in the city. This is why people may make the assumption that they are all owned and ran by the same people.

Amsterdam Genetics was actually set up by the guys at Boerejongens/Bij and the guys at Tweede Kamer/Coffeeshop Amsterdam. DNA supplies many products from Amsterdam Genetics.

To reach this area by tram from the city centre you can take the number 24 and reach the coffeeshop in around 20/25 minutes.
